There is nothing so agonizing to the fine skin of vanity as the application of a rough truth.

The real star of the Stussy Deluxe x Reyn Spooner collab - the bandanna/pocket square. Not sure if I missed out on this already at the Stussy store, but will pick it up given the chance.

I’m thinking it’s time to start putting away your wool bandana and start bringing out the lightweight colored ones like these.

This is probably not what you typically expect from us either - but this won’t be the first time you will have heard us suggest a bandana to be used as a pocket square. I truly love the Mickey Mouse themed bandanas done by NEIGHBORHOOD. Maybe it’s just because I have a kid now and it has me exposed to Disney again but there is just something nostalgic about them. Use these as a pocket square in a sport coat or casual jacket to add a little whimsy to your look - you don’t have to always look so serious.

APC Wool Bandana

This is a rookie mistake posting about something I want for myself before I actually purchase it, but I can’t help myself. Style is all about how you layer and accessories are an added element that many men forget about. And although I don’t recommend a man wear any jewelery other than a watch (if you can call that jewelery) and a wedding ring (but only if you are in fact married) there are plenty of other ways a man can add depth to his outfit. One of which is through woven articles like scarves and bandanas or pocket squares.

APC’s Wool Bandana is one great option for Fall. It’s a nice twist on something very traditional, rather than printing their paisley design on cheap cotton they changed it up by applying it to rich wool. Although some men can pull of the “hanging out the back pocket thing”, don’t force it. My suggestion is use this more as a pocket square on anything from a dark grey wool flannel suit to a more casual sport coat or jacket, whether it be grey herringbone or navy cotton. It will work with just about any color combo as long as the jacket has texture. Now just wait until I get mine first.
